Killarney and Listowel Town Councils have painted disabled parking bays a distinctive blue colour in an attempt to maintain the spaces for disabled drivers.
Independent Killarney Town Councillor Donal Grady says this is a foolproof way of removing excuses for people who park in these spaces illegally. He feels the initiative will work but also thinks fines for parking illegally in disabled spaces should be increased
